G. Kevin Miller, P.E., purchases outstanding capital stock of Progress Environmental

January 22, 2003 St. Louis, Missouri: G. Kevin Miller, P.E., has purchased the outstanding capital stock of Progress Environmental making him the sole owner of the company.

Since 1970, Progress Environmental has specialized in the sales, engineering, and service of engineered pumping systems and process equipment for the water, wastewater, and industrial markets. After completing the transaction, Miller said, "Based on our long and successful history in the St. Louis marketplace, we are very optimistic about the future of the company, our employees, and the top-quality manufacturers we represent. The new structure of the company allows us to provide our customers with the best equipment and service in the business."

A member of the firm since 1981, Miller has served as President since 2001 and Vice-President and General Manager since 1985. Miller is a 1989 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in mechanical engineering as well as a 1981 graduate of Truman State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and member of the Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Engineer’s Club of St. Louis. Miller was nominated as the 1990 Young Engineer of the Year by the St. Louis Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.

The company has moved their main offices to 151 Chesterfield Industrial Boulevard in Chesterfield, Missouri 63005. The new facility consists of offices, conference and training center, service shop, and warehouse with loading dock.
